Mizuno JPX921 Hot Metal
With the JPX921 Hot Metal we leave the area of classic forged soft-steel irons from Mizuno and enter the beautiful world of "Game Improvement" irons. These irons are designed to make the game as easy as possible and this is achieved through maximum launch, high forgiveness and high ball speeds. These three elements can only be maximized by using a lot of technology. This is exactly what Mizuno does with the JPX921 Hot Metal and also with the JPX921 Hot Metal Pro which is simply the smaller version.
Mizuno also relies on the "Stability Frame" which is used in the whole JPX921 series. This frame ensures that even balls that are not hit in the middle of the club face can develop sufficient ball speed. When it comes to materials Mizuno does not use soft steel for JPX921 Hot Metals but Chromoly 4140M. In order to get a soft feel and a pleasant sound with this harder material, Mizuno has developed so called sound ribs that connect the two-piece construction.
You don't have to go into too much detail and can basically keep it short: If you're looking for an iron that supports your game to the maximum and if you want it to be as easy as possible, JPX921 Hot Metal is definitely an option. Compared to the JPX921 Hot Metal Pro, the JPX921 Hot Metal also has much more offset, which is also helpful for the launch.
You can configure the JPX921 Hot Metal as you like on ExactGolf and you have all options available. For shafts Mizuno relies on well-known brands like Nippon, Dynamic Gold, KBS, Project X and for graphite shafts on Recoil.
