The Honma Beres concept has been around for a number of years and is still very popular in its ninth generation. The reason for this is that it is tailored to a specific type of player that no other manufacturer serves as well as Honma. In short, Honma Beres is designed for players with below average club head speed, who struggle to get the ball in the air, generate club head speed and usually struggle against an unsightly slice.
The Honma Beres Hybrid is designed as a club between an iron and a fairway wood and is available in 19°, 22° and 25°. It fits seamlessly into the Honma Beres concept and it is usually up to you whether you favour woods, irons or a utility. Honma Beres offers all possibilities.
Compared to its predecessor, the Honma Beres Aizu series, a lot has changed, although Honma has of course remained true to the Beres concept. However, you could say that Honma has gone back to the roots.
In comparison, the shafts have become somewhat lighter and even softer. New materials and manufacturing processes have been used. Without boring you with the details at this point, the ARMRQ FX shafts of the Beres 09 series are lighter, softer and yet of a higher quality in terms of torque and "quality standard". This is exactly what makes Honma so unique and is unrivalled by any other manufacturer.
As usual, the Beres Hybrid is available in 2, 3, 4 and 5 stars. The main difference here lies in the shaft quality. The higher the number of stars, the higher the quality of the materials and the shaft. At this point, however, we must make it clear that the shaft quality is absolutely sufficient for the vast majority of players with 3*. 4 and 5 stars are much more expensive and therefore not an option for most players.
